Before my eyes you disappear,
the body, the figure, the outline that defines.
A physical presence no more.
Will you resurface in a thousand years?
Your molecules put back together,
from across a vast expanse.
Where are you?
Beyond strings of timeless expanse;
set free upon the winds of space;
unencumbered by an earthen shell,
yet still an angel orb if there ever was one.
Here and everywhere among we the lucky few,
like a soft breeze you gently caress.
For I feel your touch upon my earthbound flesh.
But if it isn’t too much to ask ,
I hope you find the time,
between your far flung travels,
to whisper in my ear.
