It is but pure chance that renders us all,
prone to fits of idle pause,
before time rushes on in through stagnant air.
Then, shadow people will make do,
if stick people are scattered and few;
or stick people can be used,
when shadow people are hidden from view,
as long as motion is involved,
to keep the wild thoughts at bay.
Motion around and through us, is what keeps us sane.
We first feel it ever so gently as ripples through our hair.
And then building, it blows gale force before exploding,
unleashing raw power that lets wonderment unfold.
It connects both randomly and systematically the little worlds in our mind.
Flowing and oozing and blowing and gusting, until perfectly aligned.
But we always dread the moment,
when those little worlds might collide,
and the safe comfort of our realm is forced to run and hide.
Keep me safe within the confines of my little mind,
and balance the gently shifting little worlds,
where stick people and shadow people never mingle.

Any thoughts?
